WHO WE ARE
Child’s Destiny of Hope is a Christian charity that seeks to reach out to desperate and helpless orphaned children in Africa. It finds it’s reason for existence in God’s commandment to ‘love your neighbour.’ – to reach out to those that are unable to help themselves. In the Bible we see Jesus giving himself away to alleviate suffering and to give life, to heal brokenhearted, give hope, restore what has been broken and set people on the right path again with God and with others. Our desire is to emulate His example.
Child’s Destiny of Hope came into existence when Tim and Wilma Omalla decided it was time for them to return to Africa. The burden on their heart to start children’s homes that would enable orphans to have an opportunity for health, education, love and care, was quickly captured by the community of which they were part, Crossroads International Church of The Hague.
On July 1st of 2007 Tim and Wilma were sent out by Crossroads. They arrived in Kampala on July the 11th. A home was secured not long after that will function as a first base of operations. Renovations started on September 6th.
