PROJECTS

Child’s Destiny of Hope is currently in the process of setting up a fully functional independent children’s home in Kampala, Uganda. This home, led by Tim and Wilma Omalla, is hopefully the first of its kind in a series of homes.

The purpose of these children’s homes is to offer all that is needed for a full and proper upbringing for these children. Each home will comprise the following:

First of all, it is a home and each home will offer all the basic necessities a child needs: water, electricity, a bed, bathroom, lavatory, and a dining area.
Second, it will function as a school involving the use of a class building, educational accessories [pen, paper, ink, books, white/black board, marker/chalk etc], a sports field, a teachers office and computers.
Third, each home will offer an activity center. Here young people can focus on discovering their talents and passions. Activities will consist of craftwork, sports, music and so on.
Fourth, each home will comprise a health center/clinic. The primary audience for this clinic are the staff and children in the home, but the intention is also to bring help in the area where the home is located. This in itself is a step towards eradication or minimization of poverty.
Fifth, it is a community Center. Each home will incorporate a church building and/or hall to be used for public events such as the Sunday service, community education, open days, events etc. The community could also use the sports field.
