Child's Destiny of Hope is a relief and development organization with a Christian background. Child's Destiny of Hope has an orphanage in Chawolo, Uganda where it tries to give children a better future. On this website you will find more information.

Sponsored children

Meet the children already helped thanks to our sponsors and the sponsorship program!

These children are sponsored so that they can go to a better school. They live with their families in Chawolo. In addition to helping them with their education, we involve them in weekly activities such as singing, praying and eating together. These children are also actively involved in the children program on Saturday. We visit their families regularly to follow up on their progress at home and at school. We consider the children for medical support if necessary.


Owere Nicholas

Owere Nicholas (1996) is sponsored by a lady who makes birthdaycards for CDHope. With the revenues she is able to sponsor several children!



Ochieng Risa

This 7-year-old boy is sponsored by a young lady and her friend since October 2013.




Juliet Anyango

A creative lady produces and sells hand-made cards. With the revenues she is able to sponsor Juliet to go to Secondary school.




Timothy Okello

Thanks to a young lady from Kamerik Timothy has found a sponsor for his education.




Owor David

A lady from Leiden will sponsor Owor David for his education.



Awino Kevin

A very creative woman from Kamerik sponsors Kevin for a year from her revenues of making and selling birthdaycards for Uganda.



Aketch Agnes

We are glad to have found a family from Kamerik and an anonymous sponsor from Andijk to sponsor Agnes for her education at the Secondary School.



Waswa Dennis

Waswa Dennis is a pupil at the Nursery. 3 young people from Kamerik who visited Chawolo in the Summer of 2013 are prepared to sponsor Waswa Dennis together for his education at the Nursery.




Owor Isaac Emma

A woman from Kamerik who has visited Chawolo with a group in July 2013, has decided to sponsor Owor Isaac for the Nursery.

Thanks to 3 young people from Kamerik Innocent is able to join Nursery since March 2013.




Hope Anita

Hope Anita (2008) goes to Nursery since Spring 2013 with the help of a family from Kamerik.



Awor Anjera

Anjera (1997) has 7 brothers and sisters. She is sponsored since March 2013 by 3 sponsors so she can go to Secondary School.



Yona Odoi

Yona Odoi joins Secondary School since March 2013 due to 3 different sponsors.



Atono Robina Erina

Atono Robina Erina (1998) is able to go to Secondary School with the help of 2 sisters and 1 brother from Kamerik.



Wilberforce Owor

Due to a family from Zoetermeer Wilberforce goes to CDHope’s Secondary school since March 2013.




Alowo Juliet

Alowo Juliet joins the Secondary School since the opening in March 2013 where she gets hope for a better future.



Obekiro Musera

With the help of 3 partial sponsors Obekiro Musera goes to Secondary School since March 2013.



Okoth Samuel

Samuel (2007) has 5 brothers and 2 sisters. His parents cultivate food on the land and his father is a pastor. Samuel joins the Nursery with the help of a woman from Zwolle.





Emmanuel Oketch

Emma(nuel) is 14 years old. He is the second child in a family of 6 children. Every day he plays soccer with the CDHope children but he doesn’t like running. He hopes to learn English now he is being sponsored from February 10th, 2013 by a family from Kamerik to go to school.


Agnes Nyachwo

Agnes (1999) is from a family of 11 children and loves to take part in CDHope’s activities. From November 1st 2012, Agnes is sponsored by a family from Kamerik to let her go to primary school.



Fiona Adikini

Fiona lives in a family with 7 children. She enjoys going to school. She thinks biology is quite interesting because she learns how to prevent diseases. She loves music and likes singing. We have found a family in Dronten who sponsors her from October 1st, 2012. Fiona hopes to go to secondary school in 2013.


Slyvia Adikini

Slyvia is 12 year old and is the 6th child in a family of 9 children. She helps her mother often at home. She likes playing outside and rope skipping. From September 1st, 2012 she is sponsored by a Kamerik family so she can go to a better school.




Fiona Mary Adikini

Fiona is 5 years old and she lives in a family with 5 children. She likes drawing. She started nursery school on September 3rd, 2012 with the help of a sponsor family from Kamerik.


Rose Nyafwono

5-year-old Rose lives in a family with 7 kids. She enjoys joining the CDHope Children´s program where she likes to play with other children. From September 3rd 2012 she goes to nursery school thanks to her sponsor, a young woman from Oldebroek.






Godfrey Owori Sunday

Godfrey joins the nursery school since his 6th birthday, Monday September 3rd 2012. This present is given to him by a young man from Oldebroek, who sponsors him monthly.


Mercy Awolo

16-year old Mercy has 1 brother and 6 sisters. She goes to S1 (secondary school) and a family from Alphen aan den Rijn supports her from 1 September 2012. Mercy likes netball, volleyball and reading.



Joseph Otieno

Joseph is one of the sons of the pastor of the local church. He is an 8-year-old, happy boy and he enjoys playing with other kids. Since July 15th, 2012 Joseph is sponsored by a family from Kamerik.



Catherine Amita

Catherine is almost 7 years old. She has a younger sister and brother. Her parents work on the land and cultivate their own food. At home Catherine helps with cleaning the yard and she cares for her younger brother and sister when her mother is at work. From July 2012 Catherine will be able to go to school because of a sponsor family from Kamerik.



Marion Auma

Marion enjoys playing with other children. She loves the colors red and green. She is 7 years old and a family in The Hague will take care of her by sponsoring her from July 2012 to go to school.


John Owori

John loves soccer and singing. He is almost 6 years old and he got a really nice birthday present: from May 16th he will be sponsored by someone from Maastricht so he will be able to go to school!



Doreen Nyadoi

Doreen is 6 years old. She lives with her mother and her three older sisters and brother. Doreen’s mother works on the land and grows food for her family there. Doreen helps her mother with cooking, cleaning and fetching water. Thanks to a family from Woerden she can go to school from May 2012.



Peace Achieng Awino

Peace is five years old and lives with her mother and her sister and her two brothers. At home Peace helps with cleaning the yard and she helps with searching wood for cooking. She has found a sponsor to go to school from May 2012 thanks to a family from Woerden.




Okoth Erukana Akoki

Okoth is 15 years. He likes to make friends, likes playing soccer and loves running and singing. Okoth speaks English reasonably well. He is a caring and responsible boy. From April 1, 2012 he has the chance to go to school thanks to a family from Kamerik.


Slyvia Athieno Maliza

Slyvia is 11 years old. She likes to sing and to play with the ball. She is a hardworking girl who works in the garden or helps with other things at home even before she goes to school in the morning. From April 1, 2012 she can go to school thanks to a sponsor from Kamerik.





Ruth Awori

Ruth is 5 years old and the daughter of the pastor of a church in Chawolo. Ruth loves looking at pictures in books, coloring and singing. As of April 1, 2012 she is sponsored to go to school thanks to a sponsor from Brabant.



Zipporah Adikini

Zipporah is the second youngest in a family of nine children. She is 4 years old. She lives with her parents who work the land and acquire their income from that. Zipporah loves singing and does not like it when others quarrel. She is very studious. As of April 1, 2012 Zipporah can go to nursery school thanks to a family from Gouda.



Dasan Okoth

Dasan is 15 years old, but very small for his age. His mother is a widow. Dasan is almost always cheerful. He has learning difficulties, but as of April 1, 2012 he can go to a small, good primary school thanks to a sponsor.



Joseph Kelly Bukenya

Kelly is 5 years old. Kelly’s mother works at an old woman in the village and grows her own food. Kelly loves soccer and as of April 1, 2012 he has a sponsor to go to nursery school.





Marion Wafoyo

Marion is 5 years old. Marion has four older sisters, one older brother and a younger brother. Her parents work on the land and live of the food on their land. Marion enjoys playing with other children and with a homemade ball. She loves the color blue. As of April 1, 2012, Marion can go to school thanks to the African Child Committee in The Hague.



Emmanuel Ochieng

Emma has three brothers and two sisters. He is 14 years old. His father is a pastor in Chawolo. Emma’s helps with growing their own food. He loves soccer, serving God and making friends. Emma has some trouble with reading and we think a better primary school will help him. As of April 1, 2012, a woman from Eindhoven will sponsor Emma!



Rose Awinjo

Rose is a 7 years old girl who can not speak properly. Her mother is worried about Rose’s future, because Rose will not be able to function at the local school. Rose can go to nursery school where she gets to do daytime activities on her level, because she now has a sponsor.



George Wilson

George Wilson is an 8 years old boy. He has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. At home he helps to take care of the goats. As of 2012 George Wilson hopes to go to nursery school.





Lastone Ojwangi

Lastone is a 5 years old boy. He has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. As of 2012, Lastone hopes to go to nursery school. At home Lastone helps with taking care of the chickens and ducks.



Joselyn Awori

Joselyn is 4 years old. She lives with her grandparents because her mother became pregnant with her at a young age. Joselyn’s grandparents live from the harvest of their land. Joselyn enjoys playing with other children and she likes to go to church.





Moses Odoi

Moses is 14 years old. He lives with his mother and brothers and sisters. The family lives of the food they grow on the land. Moses can not speak properly, but he understands almost everything that is said to him. Moses can now go to a school that has a special class for children like Moses who can not speak or who are deaf. Moses loves soccer.



Winnie Nyachwo

Winnie lives with her aunt and is 5 years old. Winnie’s mother left her with this aunt when Winnie was 1 year old. Winnie loves to play with other children.





Juniour Derrick Owor

Juniour is 6 years old. Juniour lives with his aunt. His mother became pregnant when she was still living with this aunt and left Juniour with her. Juniour enjoys playing with his friends and he loves coloring and can be engaged in this with a great deal of patience.



Christine Nyaguti

Christine is 9 years old and lives with her mother and her 2 brothers. She is glad that she is now able to go to school. Christine loves to sing and also helps us with these activities during the Saturday program.





Ozak Zakayo Ayelo

Ozak is 14 years old and is the oldest in a family of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His parents live of the proceeds of their land. Since February 2011 Ozak is assisted by Child’s Destiny of Hope to go to a better school. A woman from The Hague is his sponsor. He is glad that he learns better English now. He has also improved in other subjects.



Mercy Nyabonyo

Mercy is 11 years old and lives with her parents and her 3 brothers and sister. Her parents work on the land and are not able to help Mercy with better training themselves. Since February 2011 Mercy is given assistance to go to a better school and she is extremely happy with this because she now learns some English and is also able to speak some. Mercy also enjoys the Saturday program and she loves to sing.



Denis Owor

Denis is 10 years old and lives with his parents. He has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. His parents live of the proceeds of their land. Since February 2011 Denis is helped by Child’s Dstiny of Hope and goes to a better school from that time on. He likes the subjects of English and biology quite a lot and would like to become the best of his class. Denis would like to become a doctor.



Mercy Awor

Mercy is 11 years old and lives with her parents and her 2 sisters and 2 younger brothers. The family lives of the food they grow on a small piece of land. Mercy’s mother sometimes helps other people with their garden to make some extra money. She is very serious about school where she has been going to since February 2011 and has learned a lot there lately.



Jacklyne Nyadoi

Jacklyne is 17 years old. She lives with her mother and her 6 brothers and two sisters. Since September 2011 Jacklyne is sponsored to go to a better school. She likes school and it has given her a great deal of hope. She is much more cheerful since has been attending school. Jacklyne loves to sing and helps us with these activities on Saturday and also in church on Sunday.
